"Gone, But Not Forgotten" was made by only six crew members and six cast members. Shot in 3 weeks late Oct/early Nov 2002, the final scenes were shot in the winter of 2003 when a rainstorm was needed.

PIC 1- Michael Akers, filmmaker, is pictured with his truck, which was used as Drew's truck in the movie.

PIC 2 - What's in a title? Executive Producer Sandon Berg takes a minute to powder actor Aaron Orr.

The total cost of the making the movie was less than a brand new car.

PIC 3 - Assistant cameraman, Mark Fellows, checks the lens to make sure it is dust free. It wasn't easy since a great deal of the shoot was outside on the mountains.

The entire cast and crew stayed in a cabin in the mountains, completely cut off from outside communication. Cel phones didn't work, the phone was only for internet use, and, (yikes) Starbucks was 45 minutes roundtrip!

PIC 4 - Chelsea Cricci was our house chef, whipping up three meals a day. Here she instructs Mathew Montgomery how to chop the vegetables for a scene we are shooting.

The rain day finally came to Los Angeles and we had to rush the actors up to a muddy and flooded mountain to shoot the flashback scenes. The only thing that had an umbrella was the camera.

PIC 5 - Standing by in the cabin, we prepare for a take when Paul comes to see Drew and Mark. Joel Bryant reads lines for the other actors off camera. Director of Photography Jennifer Derbin and location soundman Jesse Malings prepare the shot.

The discussion that Drew has with Mark in the boat about draining the lake was added at the last minute because it's TRUE. We had to move up the shoot days for the lake because it wouldn't be there in the winter!

PIC 6 - Brenda Lasker holds steady as Mark Fellows adjusts the backlight for Aaron Orr.

TIDBIT OF TRIVIA

Filming of the hospital scenes was simultaneous with another gay movie: "Latter Days" by C.J. Cox, which is coming to theaters soon.
